Message from Our Chairman
We in the Evangelical Lutheran Church are honoured and privileged to have been associated with the Groote Kerk in managing the affairs of the South African Children’s Home for more than 200 years. Many challenges and changes had to be overcome during this period. Thankfully, by God’s grace, great progress has been made and many children blessed. Children are a great gift from God and it is our privilege and responsibility to take proper care of them.
In our modern society children face many difficult and stressful situations. Some children, owing to circumstances, need assistance as they simply cannot meet all of life’s challenges on their own. We at the South African Children’s Home are striving to provide such children with a loving home environment. We also seek to give them a good education and Christian upbringing.
Without the help of many people and organisations it would be impossible to assist the children. We are indeed grateful to all who assist us financially and otherwise. We thank them most sincerely.
We look to the future with great enthusiasm and expectation as we together serve the Lord in taking care of deserving boys and girls.
